So its summer and I think we can all agree that it has been hot, I mean I always thought that living in the mountains would provide some added benefits like cooler temperatures but summer 18 just proving Geography wrong huh?
Anyways now, more than ever, it is important for us to be drinking the correct amount of water daily, we cannot afford to be dehydrated because good looks and good health depends on it
But wait Azaria, how do I know how much water to drink? I mean I’m 5’4 and weigh 160 lbs should I still drink the same amount of water as when I weighed 150 lbs?
Well obviously not Stewart, you're height has nothing to do with this now sit ad let grandma Azaria teach you a necessary evil………MATH.
So to find out how much water you should personally drink you need, a scale, and some broccoli and because I mean because broccoli is good for you.
Eat those veggies kids.
Step 1: Take your weight (in pounds) and divide that by 2.2.
Step 2: Multiply that number depending on your age.
Step 3: Divide that sum by 28.3.

Good job Brenda, can I call you Brenda? Now you know how much water you’re supposed to drink daily I’m going to help you to actually get around to drinking that amount and not a Nescafé sized cup a day *cough* Serina *cough*
Buy a large and aesthetically pleasing water bottle
Remember how eager you were to wear that new pair of jeans because you want people to see it? Same psychology here, the prettier the water bottle the more willing you will be to use it. Now kids, fill your water bottle with actual water and not tequila okay? Please ensure that you’re required amount of water daily can hold in the bottle or that there won’t be too many refills.
Schedule your drinking times
If you’re anything like me having schedule or a time table always makes you feel so purpose driven and business like. Break up your day into the required amount of times you need to drink water. So if you need to drink five glasses of water daily highlight five times for the day that you’ll drink a glass. So for me I drink water as soon as I wake up, right after my morning workout, right before lunch, right before a go to bed and constantly sip in between these times to make up my fifth glass.
2.Stick to it
Now if you’re also anything like me although you love having schedules you don’t necessarily stick to them. That will always be the hardest part, sticking to it but I have a solution. On that nice pretty bottle you’ve bought make small scratches or write on sticky notes to represent target times. Divide the bottle into how many glasses you need and put your sticky note to indicate where one glass would end and another start on that sticky note write the time you would like to start drinking that new glass of water every day and try to make it. So if by 2 you want to finish your first glass, by two you water level should be at or below the sticky note.
3.Reward yourself
Now I don’t like juice period but every now and again I give myself a little Lasco food drink to congratulate myself for drinking water. Find your cheat drink and drink that as a congratulatory message to your taste buds and also as encouragement for them to keep on not tasting. You’d be surprised at the wonder it could do.
